A brand new Fluoroscopy Suite has been installed at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre (NOC) Radiology department.

Fluoroscopy is a type of medical imaging that shows a continuous X-ray image on a screen. During a fluoroscopy procedure, an X-ray beam is passed through the body, and the image is transmitted to a monitor so that the movement of a body part can be seen in detail.

The Siemens Artis Zee MP Fluoroscopy Suite can perform 3D imaging which is beneficial to both diagnostic and therapeutic patients.

It will also provide state of the art imaging, help reduce waiting times and expand the scope of the Specialised MSK service for all our patients.

Helen Scarfe, Radiology Manager, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre at OUH said: "I am very grateful to our Operational Superintendent, Wendy Arnatt, who devoted her time and expertise to this project. A big thank you for to all the OUH Radiology sites who helped support the MSK service during the interim period."
