Referrals are for, but not limited to:
- complications from previous surgery
- severe Radicular pain
- spinal-related neurological deficit
- deformity of the spine
- fractures of the spine
- tumours of the spine
- infections of the spine.
All referrals should be submitted through the NHS e-referrals system.
Referrals must follow the local pathways in place.
Currently Oxford Spinal Surgery Unit is open to referrals from within the Thames Valley or out of area by prior agreement of the external commissioning bodies.
